Cola Beach

Known for its white and golden sands and the glimmering seas Goa is India’s paradise on earth. While many of you may have visited some of its famous beaches, you should also know about its hidden beaches. Goa’s hidden beaches are almost virgin beaches with layers of white pristine sands and glimmering seas. Once of the hidden beaches in Goa is Cola beach, which is also known as ‘Khola’ beach. It’s one of the remote beaches of Goa that is suitable for those seeking a lovely place for complete peace and relaxation.

One has to travel down cliffs and unbeaten road to reach this small little Paradise. For those who go to Goa for tranquil holiday experience will surely feel as if they enter into a paradise, beach will live up to your expectations. It’s a complete un-spoilt beach that offers an escape from the hustle and bustle of city life and it is also much cleaner and quieter than the better-known Goa beaches.

Cola Beach is one of those hidden gems of the south coast which is relatively hard-to-reach with crescent of sand enclosed by forested cliffs along with a gorgeous emerald lagoon stretching back from the beach. Another way to access this beach is by taking a boat from Agonda and arranging for the driver to pick you up later in the day.

This unexplored beach in Goa is where exotic beauty and tranquility lies. It will most definitely take your breath away. The fresh & cool breeze of palm trees will refresh your mind fully. One distinctive point that separates Cola beach from others is the fresh water lagoon on its sea shore that is connected to sea. You can dive, swim, jump and just enjoy up to the core. It’s really a splendid view on this beach.

There is no beach huts system followed on this beach as you’ll see only tents made in Rajasthani style. For accommodation you can go for ‘Blue Lagoon’ or ‘Dwarka Goa’. The tents each accommodate for two people, have an en-suite bathroom & veranda. Excellent tasty food is served in all restaurant that will let your fingers left for licking!


What to do at Cola?

  • Enjoy and explore the scenic view of the beach and the lush green trees
  • Have a swim in the naturally occurred lagoon
  • Enjoy the sunset at Cola beach
  • You can also go Kayaking in the lagoon water
  • Overnight excursions
  • You can also try your hand at fishing


  • Carry an extra set of clothing if you intend taking a swim into the ocean or the lagoon
  • Carry food and water since there are few restaurants along the coast
  • Children should be taken care off as the waves can be very harsh
  • As the shore is in pristine condition we should do our best to maintain its condition by not littering.


Cola beach is situated in south goa, Goa. It’s just a 20-minute drive from Palolem beach or a 10-minute drive from Agonda beach. It’s easily accessible from both the places. You can take scooters on rent and drive onto this beautiful beach. Remember the route will be a muddy track and difficult to reach.

When you’ll drive your scooter towards cola beach, there is no proper big board displaying cola beach. There’s a small indicator board showing ‘Cola beach to left side’.

» Keep in mind there are no buses travelling to this beach and the only way to get here is by private transport.
